MTB New Downhill-FreeRide Compilations 2014



Check out the Short Compilation of The Crewsins MTB Downhill FreeRide 2014. The trail was in Bienne and Chaumont... pretty cool stuff! The Downhill freeride is extreme specially in a fairly thick woods, and the hills were a little stiff. The ramps are great in the clip they were like flying.

Singapore OCBC Safe Cycling campaign

Singapore -  In Singapore they have successfully organized a Safe Cycling campaign that raised about S$11,000 (US$8,700) on Saturday.

About 900 cyclists and bike enthusiast gathered for the cause at Long House Food Centre. The cyclist were given limited-edition Safe Cycling shirts. The donation will be given to the Singapore Road Safety Council for funding safe cycling clinics.

South African cyclist Jeanne Nell died in a Freak Accident

Sad news for South Africa Cyclist. South African track cyclist Jeanne Nell died after a crash. He was seeking to qualify for this summer's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow when the crash happened.

South Africa's Olympic committee said that Jeanne Nell who was a national sprint, time trial and Keirin champion, died after crashing during a keirin race at a velodrome in Bellville near Cape Town on Tuesday.

He participate at the UCI Track World Cup in 2013 South Africa his cycling coach described him as "one of the best sprinters South Africa has ever had."

Women's Race on Tour de France

Tour de France 2014 will host a one-day women's race on the Champs-Elyseés that will be held on the final day of the race. This is the first time that this will happen since 1989 that women cyclists will race alongside men.

The "La Course by le Tour de France" will be held on July 27, 2014. It will be part of the International Cycling Union's (UCI) elite women's calendar.

Tour organiser Amaury Sports Organisation has beeing pressured to have a women's tour.

UCI president Brian Cookson told the media that he is "delighted to see this exciting development for women's cycling. Women's racing on the iconic Champs Elysees is a tremendous step forward."

102YO French Cyclist Robert Marchand Overcame his own world record

Robert Marchand age 102, ride his bike to beat his own record at the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in Montigny-le-Bretoneux last January 31, 2014. Even at that advance age, Robert can still pedal his bike. He even set a new world record.

He set a record for over-100 category in 2012, and he beat it by riding almost 16.7 miles (26.9 kilometers) in an hour which is 1.6 miles further. His previous record was 24.25 kilometers.

Robert is a retired firefighter and logger.
