World Naked Bike Ride In Kent

World Naked Bike Ride UK will held two rides in Kent this summer in Folkestone and Canterbury. The World Naked Bike Ride is yearly ride held throughout the world to give awareness to improve the safety and road condition for cyclists, and criticize the world's reliance on fossil fuels.

The naked ride in Folkestone will be held on July 1, 2017, while the date for the Canterbury ride is May 27, 2017. This will be the 6th naked ride in Canterbury while fourth in Folkestone.

Organisers for the Canterbury ride said: "Sadly, too many cyclists are injured or killed in road traffic collisions across the UK every day. Kent, and the Canterbury area are, regrettably, included in this grim statistic.

"The most common excuse given by motorists who have just killed a cyclist is "I didn't see them". Strangely, the WNBRs across the world have proved that naked cyclists ARE seen and not ignored."

"Nudity is permitted as part of the demonstration to emphasize the vulnerability of the human body when faced with the everyday dangers of cycling on the UK roads.

"Nudity is not compulsory - all WNBRs ask participants to ride "as bare as you dare" and many use body paint to decorate themselves or to paint appropriate slogans on their body."

Bristol and Cardiff World Naked Bike Ride 2016

The 2016 Bristol World Naked Bike Ride purpose is to make people aware of the dangers facing riders on the road. You can see participants who are completely naked, while there are people who are partially clothed. They paraded around the city on Saturday June 4.
It was a celebration of bikes and bodies, these cyclists wants safer roads and they are demonstrating against car culture and oil-dependency.

Around 250 cyclists took part in the 6.5-mile city center ride which was organized on the theme "as bare as you dare". Their starting point is at the Full Moon pub in the Stokes Croft area.

The ride was rerouted due to other protest, and coincided with some other planned city center marches that includes anti-immigration rally. Thank goodness the bike ride participants didn't encounter any trouble.

 

 

Also the 9th annual Cardiff World Naked Bike ride was held last Sunday June 5. About 150 cyclists took part in that event. The 8.5-mile ride set off from Sophia Gardens, and followed a route which included Cardiff Castle, North Road, the Civic Center, The Hayes, Wales Millennium Center, and then arriving back at Sophia Gardens.

The 2015 World Naked Bike Ride: Los Angeles (NSFW)

Check out some pictures of the annual World Naked Bike Ride in downtown Los Angeles, bikers baring it all. Nude cyclist converge at at the corner of Baker and Spring Streets last June 27, 2015. They followed the "big figure 8" route through downtown, along the L.A. River and Echo Park.

World Naked Bike Ride Exeter 2014

Naked cyclists hits Exeter streets to promote and environmentally friendly transportation. The ride started at 1pm at floodplain besides Trews Weir. The last World Naked Bike Ride in Exeter was held in 2012. The cyclists were there early to have their bodies painted before the ride.

According to the group the ride was for "a peaceful, positive and fun protest exposing the need to rediscover non oil dependent modes of transport, and highlight the vulnerability of cyclists as well as meeting new people and having fun decorating our bodies".

Gary Numan pop star from the 80s was seen in area to watch the ride last Sunday June 29, 2014. Exeter's first World Naked Bike Ride was held back in June 2011.

Naked Bike Ride New Orleans 2013

Here's a clip of the New Orleans Naked Bike Ride 2013 on June 8, 2013. The ride was to promote the use of bike and to raise awareness about issues concerning humanity. It was the Fifth Annual World Naked Bike Ride in New Orleans. The ride started and ends at Mickey Markey park.

World Naked Bike Ride 2013 San Francisco

The World Naked Bike Ride, an international demonstration against fossil fuel dependence, was held in San Francisco this weekend, they cry "Less gas, more ass" and "put the fun between your legs." It was peacefully held despite the new law prohibiting nudity.

Their website warned participants: "To be legal, you just need to barely cover your genitals and rectum. Going naked outside the main group will definitely get you cited,". "This will be a test to see how far we can push the limits."
