Handmade Wooden Bike
Japanese Ueshiro Sano an skilled artisan who builds wooden ships was born as third son of the SANO SHIPYARD which was established more than 200 years ago and has been lasting for eight generations don't just build wooden ships he also builds bespoke wooden bicycles in his workshop.
It takes about three months to build his bikes and cost about $18,000. He use mahogany for his custom build bikes. Sueshiro said on his webpage the frame is designed to have a slightly higher rigidity and the frame is designed to absorbed the vibration from the road to give the rider a comfortable ride at a high speed.
